G4 processor 350 to 800mhz available and much better than G3 for
Pshop with the Altivec - at least 256/512 megs ram and a bigger HD (9 gig
to whatever you fancy - smaller is cheaper). Min system 9.1 or 9.2 (with
the OS9 helper - OSX will take 1.5 gigs of HD space and runs much slower
than 9 and you'll have boot into 9 to run the Pshop and Fhand).
Ebay.co.uk is a good place to start for Europe - there are some
excellent scsi drives for small dosh (20 quid for UW 9gig), G4 upgrades,
ram and OS install disks. QXL also has mac stuff and is Europe wide -
though foreign listings can be hard to translate.
Ebay.com if you want to buy from the US of A - shipping can be
extortionate for heavy items but very reasonable for small items - some
sellers will not ship outside the US but many will with no problem. LEM
swap list is one to join.
Not going to be cheap - but there is great fun to be had building a
Frankenmac - 3/400 quid would get you a real G4 350/400.

     Pete
