(snip)I have a simple electric current question about this ersatz workaround: "The battery is hard to find, however many people just go into radio
positive poles, and one negative lead touching all three negative poles at the same time?
(silly ascii art to illustrate:)
am I trying to do this?("block"):
l -[..............]+l l -[..............]+l ~~~~l -[..............]+l~~~~~~~~
or this("snake")?:
~~~ -[.............]+{ } +[.............]- { } - [.............]+~~~~~~~
Janet, they need to line up positive to negative (snake). Then you have a positive on one end, a negative on the other. Your drawing (bottom) is correct. It shows a series connection, which adds up the voltage. The other, a parallel connection, would add up the power, not the volts.
