The AV Macs can do audio and video editing. Connect the audio in to a stereo system, digitize the audio, edit it and convert it for burning to CD or using the audio out, send it back to the stereo and onto cassette. You can also connect to a VCR, DVD, video camera or TV, digitize the video and edit it. The 7500/7600s can't send the video back to VCR tape, but the 8500/8600s can. Any can burn video to CD as a QT, AVI, etc. movie or even to DVD if equipped with a DVD burner. (My next investment.)
