I had something similar happen when I put my 8500 back together (which is
how I found this list), turned out to be the 3.3 power connector (the
smaller) was not completely seated, not sure if this would correlate on a
6115. Also, I did not get the chime, but everything else happened as you
describe. Worth a look.
