The 9600 (like the 9500) does not have built-in A/V. The 8600 (and 8500) have what the 
7500 has plus video out.

Since one is buying a used ma chine, it doesn't really matter if the machine 
originally came with a cache DIMM. What matters is if it has one when you buy it. I 
think the cache DIMMs are interchangeable among these machines. I hope someone will 
correct me if I'm wrong.

BTW, I wouldn't hesitate to sink money into a 7500, since virtually anything you'd put 
in it will also work in an 8600 or 9600.
