I had a G4/800 on loan for testing for a while.   In MacBench 5.0 it 
scored 2053 in CPU and 1959 in FPU.    I do not have scores for a 
G4/450 card to which to compare.

Faster CPUs also improve disk and video performance a little. 
Compared to a G3/315 with 512K cache disk performance was about the 
same actually.   I guess the G3/315 is sufficient to open any disk 
bottlenecks.

MacBench Graphics using a Formac Proformance III card was 3232 with 
the G4/800 and 1190 with the G3/314.   Publishing Graphics was 2203 
and 1609 respectively.
