I have a 7300/180 a 7500/233 a Laserwriter 16/600 and I would like to make a little network, ethernet is the best way I believe, I understand that the 2 computers can be connected with a directconnection but if I want the 2 computers to be able to access each other and the printer I have to get a few more bits of hardware like a hub or router and the correct connections pieces.
I am not interested in using up a pci slot for fast ethernet which I think Irecall having to do, Is there a state of the art method and would I need a hub or a router and then whats the best bang for the buck on one of these beasts?
I dont know how many questions I get but I also have an old epson scanner scsi If I connect the 2 computers through ethernet would I be able to access the scanner from either computer? Or have i just asked something really dumb?
what a great list thanks for the thought
