I have a 7300/200 and this is my 6th year on cable. When [EMAIL PROTECTED]
bellied up, Cox went direct as an ISP. I have had all the problems you
mention. They could not get an IP to hold. Never would admit it was
their problem. Basically they installed a second ethernet card in my
system and also a router. The router holds the IP  address.

I still freeze and have to reboot, but not for the same reason as
before. A router may do it for you.
