what is that ? DNS ? MacTCP-DNR ?? if its the last one just through it away and restart - they get corrupted no biggie - and restart - the TCP / IP program will make a new one when you use it - throw away all the TCP installation preferences from the preference folder AND fill in the server data again - throw away the preferences of FINDER, APPLETALK, APPLESHARE, MACOS, SYSTEM from the preferencefolder and restart usually cures smaller issues, if you get a lot of problems with an inherited system, then drag the entire preferencefolder on to the desktop and restart and the OS will make a new preference folder from scratch, move back the preferences you think is okay and like to keep, like codes for games and programs, that you maybe can't get the original for anymore, save your mail and things like that. but let the OS make a new preference folder, and keep the new OS related preferences. kenta -- -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
