I am trying to resurrect an ancient Daystar Genesis MP 800+ for a
friend whose resources and aspirations are somewhat limited.

He gave it to me to put a System onto and some programs for his kids. It
has a pair of 16-Meg DIMMs in it and System 7.6.

  Imagine the horror !!!

I'd like to put a little more RAM into
it since Virtual Memory does not like the multiple processor card, and
vice versa.

Now that everyone has beefed up their Macs with cheap 128-Meg DIMMs
there are surely some little orphaned DIMMs doing nothing and going
nowhere. This beast has a dozen DIMM slots and has the same Tsunami
board as the 9500.

I checked on eBay and found that NOBODY is flogging small DIMMs of this
sort, just the 128-Meg ones.

Can anyone who has upgraded a PCI Mac who has more
16's or even more preferably 32's kicking around doing nothing consider
tossing them this way reasonably ??? The more and bigger the better.

I can PayPal the price of the DIMMs and USPS postage and for economic
reasons would obviously prefer multiple DIMMs from the same source
rather than one DIMM from ten different people because postage is going
to be proportionately big relative to the item cost..

What, if anything, is out there?

I will email everyone who offers something to let you know when I've
had ENOUGH !

I checked out the RAM sellers on the internet but they all insist on
FedEx or UPS for international , which means, since I am in Canada, VERY
expensive service fees for international shipping PLUS Customs
INSPECTION charges, PLUS GST & PST, PLUS having to be here when the
truck arrives....to get what could be mailed in an envelope by any one
of us private citizens for $1.35 in stamps.
