I spent a lot of time researching CD-RW drives for my B&W G3 running System
8.6 and thought some of you may be interested in the results of my efforts.
[I have cross-posted this message to several lists so you may get
duplicates.]

Last weekend, Micro Center advertised a BUSlink 32x12x48 CD-RW FireWire
external drive for $50 after rebates. And it works with System 8.6 which I
am using. The drive came with Roxio's Toast Lite which is SWEET! It was
simple to install and I am happy as a clam. BTW, it burned 700.5MB of photos
in 7.5 minutes on a 24X CD.

If you have a Micro Center near you, check it out, especially if they are
having a sale. I found products not on sale were much less expensive than
CompUSA and other retailers. They have a Mac area and the salesman I talked
with actually knew what he was talking about. How refreshing. I'll be going
back there regularly.
