Yes. I have the (same) card from my B&W installed in my 8500, at work.

I'm not running OS X on that machine, but drivers for that card are 
part of the standard 10.2 install. It should work fine.

The Rage 128 is much faster in almost all respects under OS 9. The 
exception is QT movies, which play so badly that it's more practical to 
discuss frame drop *in* that drop out rates.
