Eric, are the memory installed on interleaved configuration? (A0, B0, A1, B1, etc.) For memory to operate in interleaved mode, they have to be fairly close in make up (parts spec, etc.) --- Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Mon, 24 Mar 2003 17:56:55 -0800 (PST) From: Eric Kinzie <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
I just recently ditched my 7500/120 mobo and replaced with an 8600/300. Everything seems to be okay but I'm having an issue with memory. I used two 128MB DIMMS from my 7500. Upon boot, I get a good chime but no video. I started troubleshooting and found the memory was the problem. I installed a couple older 8MB DIMMS and it worked fine. The 128MB'ers worked fine in my 7500 -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
