The "IBM" connector is an HDI-15. The Mac video on a 6500 is a DA-15. > >I got a new monitor that is also with the IBM size connector. > >Are these all the same - any monitor with the added conversion >connector will allow it to work on the Mac or NOT? Pretty much. Just how high a resolution varies with the monitor. And Macs often don't go as high a resolution as WinHell because the Mac typically uses a higher horizontal scan frequency. You do have to take care that you don't configure the adapter (assuming it is configurable) to a higher resolution than the monitor is capable of or at least don't switch to said resolution on the Mac. If you do and you can't reset the resolution lower you can do a PRAM reset (Command-Option-P-R at startup) which should take care of it. -- Clark Martin Redwood City, CA, USA Macintosh / Internet Consulting "I'm a designated driver on the Information Super Highway" -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
