Earthlink now tells me "We understand that you are not able to resubscribe to the specified mailing list and your email is bounced back [not likely to be bounced forward]. Upon reviewing the header information provided by you. [comma?] it seems that the email address...do [sic] not accept emails. You will need to contact there [sic] Customer Support to get this issue resolved."
If this is typical of their level of competency, don't hold your breath waiting for them to resolve anything. :-(
BTW, to what address were you sending the subscription request?
