Just in case anyone runs into the same problem with a WeeCam, (The free webcam given out by Earthlink at one time) Installer version 1.0.5 works well without VM. (It gives a message that it needs it, but works anyway.) The one I have came bundled with 1.0.4, which wouldn't work with my particular set up.
