Eudora won't scroll while selecting text

i find that Eudora 5.2.1 sponsored mode will not scroll if you are 
selecting text and drag the cursor to the bottom of the page (light 
5.1.1 did this no problems). Si I have to select a window of text, 
delete and repeat.

I can't find any option for scrolling. Is my copy faulty?
