I have a PowerMac 7300/180 running Yellow Dog Linux 3.0 and a minimal
version of OS 8.1 that I pieced together from downloaded OS 8.1 Disk
tools images. I have Basilisk II on my Windows 2kPro/Mandrake Linux 9.1
AthlonXP @ 1.6GHz. I managed to get an OS 7.6.1 image copied from my
Basilisk files to a CD, though all of them are in bin format. (I burned
with gnome toaster on Mandrake Linus 9.1) The minimal OS that I got on
the 7300 doesn't support running Wintel CD's. My Mac SE has PC exchange
for floppies, and my dad's 7200/90 has OS 8.6 that will run the CD.
Now, with that background, what extensions do I have to copy to
my 7300
to run the CD? I can from there expand the bin files and boot up off of
floppy and replace the current OS with the new 7.6.1.
Thanx,
ES
