Fascinating. Doesn't suprise me. In the early days, Apple had some strange
work arounds. For nostalgia purposes, I guess one of the little devices
would be interesting, but  doesn't that serve about the same purpose as the
Calibration section  (with Expert Mode checked) of the Monitor Control
Panel?
