I am trying to wed a 7300 with an older Microtek scanmaker 600ZS. I used to use the scanner with my old IIsi (and OS 7.5.5) which now seems dead I think, as it won't boot at all when I hit the power key. I cannot find the driver software for the scanner, and wonder if anyone knows if this model works with 7300 running OS 8.6. I need to scan some images and am not sure what to do.
Try Vuescan, <http://www.hamrick.com> It's $45, but it'll let you see if it works.
