Hi people,

Would a 4x/12x "Smart and Friendly CD SpeedWriter Deluxe" be a good internal
CD-R SCSI drive for my G3 300 7600?

Thanx....

Craig W.

I had a S+F in my 7500 for sometime. I works great but was not bootable.

I'm pretty sure the Iomega drive I referred to is Mac bootable

USB drives are NOT bootable, at least not in a 7600!

The Smart and Friendly drives are good, solid SCSI drive. As mentioned, they are not bootable, but they are pretty well made...we have a years-old 2x one in a machine here in the College still working.

Work just fine with Toast.
