I tried to get my MIDI keyboard (an oldish Kawai) to work with my PCI Mac,
using Finale 2000. Didn't work. Kept on giving me an error about some other
app using that port, or AppleTalk needing to be off (which it shouldn't,
since AppleTalk runs off my Ethernet). Trying to use the Speedy Entry tool
in Finale 2000, it froze.

Now, switching the MIDI connectivity from my PCI Mac to my Duo 280c in its
DockPlus, using Finale 3.x, it worked just fine!

I think my MIDI connectivity is Translator II...

Any ideas why? Any ideas to fix?

I'd much rather use my PCI Mac to do this stuff than my Duo....
