First off, thanks to everyone who responded to my questions about the USB card in the PCI slot. I'm pretty sure that it's the card that's bad. I'll get a new USB 2.0 card sometime next month to replace this card I got off eBay.

Anyway, another question.

Eventually, I want to run OS9 on my 5400/200. As it stands now, I've got 88MB in it. 64 MB + 16 MB + 8 MB on the motherboard.

I see two different opinions on maximum RAM. One source says only 128 MB via 2 64 MB DIMMs in the onboard RAM slots.

Other sources say that it can easily handle 128 MB in each slot.

Obviously, 256 MB is better than 128 MB. If I'm going to spend money on this Mac, I'm not adverse to spending a little more to get a lot more functionality out of it.

So, which is correct? 128 MB or 256 MB?

As always, thanks in advance!
