Having a similiar problem. Drive disappeared from desktop. Scsi probe
shows the drive, but won't mount it. used Silverlining pro 6.4. Says it
is PARKED?? Can't seem to get drive to do anything, nor will drive
coorporate with silverlining. Any ideas?
When a drive is parked it means that the heads have been moved to a safe
spot for landing. At one time you had to manually park a drive prior to
shutting it down. But drives have been auto-parking for so long no one
really has to think about this anymore. It sounds as though your drive
went to sleep or otherwise shutdown and is not responding to a wake up call.
The first 2 things I would try are sutting down the system and restarting,
and using SCSI probe to reset the bus (press option and click on scan)..
