8500 board in 7600 casing?

I would like to know if anyone put an 8500 board in 7600 case, will 
the PS fit and which one to use, or can I just move the video/in out 
socket from the 8500 to the 7600 and get the benefit of the video out 
signal ? I vaguely remember reading that apple service used to 
replace broken 8500 mobos with 7500 ones - and that would suggest 
that this is possible ?
