I want to do this on my 8600, so that's my tie in.

I have a big project I want to do, and I need some help/advice. I want to
take all my photographs and scan them in and put them on CD's and/or DVD's. The
originals can then go back to my ex. I plan to use HTML (I code my own pages
now) so that any computer can show all my pics with the stories and description
of each pic. That is perfect for giving to kids or sending to friends or
relatives.

Ideally I want to scan once and (1) archive the original scan, (2) Print 3
pictures on a page with the text for my photo albums (3) use the pics with text
on CD/DVD's written in HTML. So, I have questions regarding format, scanning
resolution, programs that will do what I want, etc. I don't want to waste list
bandwidth, so if you think you might be able to answer a few questions for me,
e-mail me.
