I don't know if this is PCI Mac related or not, but I'll ask anyway...

I have a friend who asked me if I would be willing to take some PowerMacs off his hands, free of charge. They are the property right now of his company, and it seems they are having a hard time selling them, so it's either I take them or they get thrown out.

Anyway, from what he told me they are (probably) 6100's, with G3 upgrades. I know nothing else about them... RAM, hard drive size, CD yes/no, whatever. What I'd like to know is, are these models any good? Could they be used with OS X (with XPostFacto, of course)? Do the G3 upgrades make them quick enough to do something with them, like print & file serving, CD writing, low-res video editing (352x288 max), stuff like that? Or should I just take 'em and give them to others or sell 'em on the swap list?

I do own two other Macs right now, but I am getting rid of the oldest one. If the 6100 is worth me keeping I would keep one of them myself for the above uses. Help will be appreciated with this issue!

Michael
