Could it be possible that the printer port and the modem port burn out? My PM 7500 seems to have this problem. Modems and printer act like there's nothing plugged in. They both share a common little silver box in the case. It's as if they've been deactivated. I don't see damage. Any thoughts on this??
Try a PRAM zap (Command-Option-P-R just after boot). Some of the parameters held there are for the serial ports.
