The 8500 is a direct replacement, using the same PS cables. The 7600 can not use the full AV board from the 8500 as the video out chip set isn't present on the 7600 MB. The connector will plug in, but the video out pins will not be connected to anything. You need the 8500 MB for full AV support . (The 8600 MB will also work, but has different PS connector cabling and needs some serious modifications to the harness to fit.)
