Just got a new 6400. Mostly stock, but wow, lots
faster than I expected, coming from a 6200. I have
been to the 6400 zone, but I am looking for quick
succinct answers here:

I am under the impression that there is in the top of
the 6400 a secret chamber where one can put a 2nd hard
drive or some other device. If so, is it an ide bus,
or, as I have been guessing, a scsi? If a cd-rw, say,
could go up there, how would one modify the case to
allow for cd insertion? If it is just for an internal
HD, does the machine run a lot faster or less well
with the extra burden? How many total additional
internal devices can be put inside the 6400 besides
the internal cd-rom, hd and floppy?

Also, the stock processor feels pretty fast to me
running 8.6. What am I really missing if I keep it
stock insstead of dropping $75+ on a g3 card? I have
very limited experience with OS 9 and/or X. I guess
given the memory limitations OS 9 is really the limit.
But I prefer the auto-resize box of 8.6 to what I have
used in 9/X. I am constantly opening documents of
various types, fonts, layout, and I want the mac to
resize it it to fit the screen with one click. In X it
seems like all you can do in one click is close,
maximize or send it to the dock.

Finally, if I am running 8.6, do I still need the
separate Carbon extension and the libmoto?
