Your machine is way OT man. But what the heck...
There is an issue with the IDE controler in the logic board. The OS must appear within the first 8G. The safest way to accomplish this is to partition the drive so the first partion is 8G or under. I've heard a few people mention that they needed to get the first partition down to 7.9 or so for success. My trusty Bondi Blue 233 is partitioned 5G-OSX/3G-OS9/20G-storage, works like a little champ.
