I was attempting to do a video capture on my upgraded 7300/G3-300 with firewire using iMovie. I tried this twice. The first attempt led to a kernel panic and the second simply froze the machine. Is this problem caused by the slower bus speed on the 7300? Or is there another explanation? Is there a way to do firewire video capture on this machine or should I attempt it with something like XLR8's USB software that I see constantly selling for around US$30 on eBay?
Thanks very much for your help.
