My 9600 has a G3 card in it, a newertech G3-350. When I hit the keyboard
power, it usually starts, but doesn't chime. The monitor light doesn't
switch to green and although I hear hard drive spin up, no video comes on.

When I then press control-apple-power, it "usually" chimes on the second
boot and starts normally.

I just stuck a 128 meg memory dimm in and now (though I haven't tested
thoroughly) it sometimes takes multiple presses of control-apple-power
before I hear the chime and it starts normally.

Any ideas what might be causing this? The battery tests at over 3V.

Thanks for any help.

Tom
