Can anybody help me identify a cache pulled from an 8500? It is similar, but

There are 256 KB, 512 KB and 1024 KB cache cards.

Some have eight chips, with four chips per side. The "tag" chips are separate.

The 512 KB cache on the 9500 and 9600 (soldered) and ANS/500 (plug-in) use
four cache and two tag chips.

All appear to be compatible with each other, although the ANS cache cards
(512 KB and 1024 KB; 1025 KB on the ANS/700) are quite different from the PM
equivalents.
