PCI'ers, I know that the faster 604e cards from "Kansas" boards will not run in older PCI MoBo's, but will a Power Tower Pro 250 cpu card run in a 7500 MoBo? -- All the best, R.A. Cantrell
Yes. The Umax and the Power Computing 250 MHz PPC604e cards will work in the x500 machines. Only the Apple 250+ PPC604e MHz cards are incompatible.
Watch out for the 240 MHz Power Computing card though. It is set to run with a 60 MHz bus speed and probably will not work in most non-PowerCenter Pro machines.
