I second that notion.  An 8500 case is a major pain in the neck to take
apart for upgrades.  The case in the 8600 is MUCH easier to take a apart.
Apple knew a good thing when they created the 8600 case and used a very
similar design on the mini-tower G3's and G4's.  I'd go for the 8600 unless
you absolutely love taking out 10 or so small screws along with the
motherboard to do an upgrade.  The 8600 case simply pop's open and VOILA!
you have the motherboard ready for action.
