Can someone tell me just what the actual keys are for some of the keyboard shortcuts are? For example:
In Mail (OS X), to send a message, under "Message", "Send Message" there are next to the "Send Message" command a up arrow, then the "Command" or "Apple" key, the the letter "D". Which key does the "up arrow" pertain to?
Also, in the same menu, "Mark as read" has a goofy looking character, then "Command/Apple", then the letter "M". What's the goofy character?
I come from the *NIX world, and the Windoze world, and I prefer to keep my hands on the keyboard if possible. If I could figure out how to use the keyboard shortcuts, this would make life a lot easier for me in my new "Mac" life!
Thanks
The up arrow means 'Shift' modifier, (which is also what 'D' means versus 'd' but Apple's making doubly sure here)
The funky character is the same as 'Option', or the 'Windows' key on a wintel machine
