I have a: Seagate ST39173N, 8.47 GB I just bo ught on the SwapList., using
Driver 8.1.4 and I can see it on my desktop, format it, etc. even install
the OS 9.1. But I cannot boot from it.
I have an old Seagate drive that gives me trouble when I try to boot from it. The reason is that it is so slow to spin up that the Mac finally picks another drive to start from. I found I could start from it by hitting the power button, waiting about 5 seconds, then hit the restart key combo (command-control -power).
