I have a LW320 that I've used since 1994.(and the original ink cartridge is still going strong!) I don't know how closely the 300 & 320 are related, but as far back as I can remember Apple talk has always had to be active to make the LW320 print. This has been the case in every OS from 7.1 to 9.2.2 and every machine I've ever hooked it up to (7100,6400,5260, lc520, 8600,pb1400,& G3DT).
