Are there any "old timers" out there who have
experience with the video editing software:
"AvidVideoShop 3.0?" I think it was originally
released both as a stand alone product and also
included with some AV style Macs in a promotional give
away pack. The copyright date puts it around both late
Quadras and early PCI Macs and I think it survived the
change over, (It seems to run fine on both my 950 and
my 7600) so either of these groups could have as a
member, the mentor I seek.

I have been playing with it since none of my machines
are fast enough to utilize iMovie II. My question is:
How can you fade up from black to a clip, bring in a
superimposed title with a slow graceful dissolve, let
it stand on screen for appropriate reading time, and
gracefully dissolve the title out of the main action?
The key word is gracefully dissolve. It would seem the
program would prefer to jump full strength onto the
screen and snap off the screen far too abruptly for my
taste.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Don
