It is IE tolerating sloppy code that has created most of the standards incompatibility problems on the web!

The web standards don't permit this sloppy crud. And if everyone was forced to write syntactically correct code, the browsers wouldn't have to guess at how to render it! It's that guesswork that causes the problems!
