Even if it will work, it seems a bit of a waste. I'd guess (though I could be wrong) 
that the speed increase will be much less than 50%, since the 604ev already has 
something approxiamating the backside cache of the G3. The G3 card will work in any of 
the [73/75/76/85/86/95/96]00's and in most clones, where it will provide a speed 
increase by as much as a factor of about 4, while the 8600/300 card will only work in 
the Mach V machines that all come with 250 MHz and faster cards already.
