I really appreciate the comments that have come back on this.
Except one thing.... Bruce seems to be the only one who picked up on the fact that
it's a DVD-R/RW that I want to purchase. Maybe I wasn't clear enough.

Subject: PC DVD-R/RW,CD-R/RW for Beige G3?
Can anyone suggest an off-brand (PC?) DVD-R/RW,CD-R/RW
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If your Beige has an ATA CD-ROM in it already (as I think it does), can't you replace it with one of those "$20 special" internal CDRWs that all the office supply stores have every week? This is after you verify that it will work in a Mac and with your burning software, of course.

Well that $20 CDRW will work pretty poorly at burning DVD's which is why, presumably he wants to put a DVD-R/RW in there...
