Will a 100BaseT Ethernet card increase the connection speed compared to the built-in ethernet (10BaseT) for a DSL hookup from a router?
I expect not, but wanted to make sure.

YOu will have to find out if the router supports a 100T ethernet connection speed. If it does, you may get a small increase in speed. The main increase would be on transfers that did not involve the DSL because I don't think that the DSL would go up over the 10T. It is a good idea to haver 100T thought because a 100T card will usually autosense what speed to connect at and make your computer compatible with both the faster and the slower speeds. You don't really need gigabit ethernet yet, it doesn't have many advantages over 100T and costs much more.
