I've had so many failures of my old SCSI drives that I'm yearning for a new one. If you were to buy a new one, where would you buy it?
Ideally, my 7200/7600 Hybrid G3 would have a startup SCSI drive of quite a few gigs, an IDE hard drive from a PCI controller, and an external FireWire drive. Does this seem like a reasonable ideal? Which drives and cards would you be in the lookout for? I judge these things by 1. Reliability 2. Quietness 3. Speed and capacity 4. Price ...with that fourth category always straining to gain the upper hand! (In other words, I'm rather poor.) - t "I know . . . I know . . .
