I can't offer any solution. I can only say that since I upgraded to the latest version of ScanWizard, I too have been getting the same message, but only when scanning text. I have no luck at all in OCR when using the ABBY FInereader, and have to manually find and select the scanner when I use OCR through ScanWizard.
I can't even scan. Or rather couldn't. I'll just stick with the old ScanWizard. If it ain't broke...
