Has anyone had any success on figuring out the jumper setup to get a Seagate ST15150W (Compaq No. 199591-001). I know these were pulled from a RAID box, but it seems to me that they should work in a PCI Mac... I've DLed the config sheets from Seagate, but haven't been able to hit the right combination... Any tidbit of wisdom would be appreciated...
Never did get that sucker to work right...Compaq jiggered the ROM on it, the bastiches.
The problem is that the thing needs a wakeup call to mount, no matter what you set the jumpers to.
You can mount the drive via SCSIProbe or Mt. Everything, and it will come back up on the desktop after a restart, but shut it down and it stays asleep until you manually mount it.
