Understanding OS X

	I am new to OS X  and am trying to figure it out.  I installed it over 
my OS 9.1.  I used Toast 3.5.7 and OneScanner Dispatch in 9.1 with not 
trouble.  Now when I make 9.1 the start up disk, they both work fine.  
But when I try to access them from within X, Classic starts up as do 
the applications.  However, my CD burner is not detected in Toast, and 
OneScanner Dispatch says the scanner may be in use by another app. or 
is not connected.
	Is there a way to make them work in X?  Or do I have to restart in 9.1 
every time I want to use either one?
