The LC 580 used a IDE hard drive, while the 8500s use SCSI hard drives....

While an IDE hard drive COULD be used in your 8500 with the necessary 
accessories, I think you'd be wanting a SCSI drive for the 8500, since it would be 
WAY more economical.

...and JUST WHERE to get one? Well, jest check wit' me!  ;-)
