How would I put a VGA PCI card in my Apple PowerPC 8500 which has no operating system? I dont have a apple monitor nor do I have an apple monitor adaptor. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you! ~
Just stick it in. It won't work just like the rest of the system :-P
In general you need either a specifically Mac compatible card or a PC card that's been flashed with Mac Roms, which works on only a few kinds of cards: Voodoo 3(?), 4 and 5 , some PCI ATI Radeon cards, a few others iirc.

Either of the bottom two adapters should do you just fine. The will connect a regular VGA monitor to the Mac's video port.
That and an OS...;-)
